A former Newfoundland landlord is expected to enter a guilty plea to accusations she rented space to tenants in a Gander home she didn’t own.
Darlene Wheeler is charged with six counts of fraud under $5,000. She is expected to plead guilty when the case is called on May 26 in St. John’s.
Wheeler is alleged to have offered up the home she and her husband were renting from the actual home owner, as well as renting out the already-occupied basement apartment.
