Windsor West MP Brian Masse has created a booklet to help protect Canadians from fraud.

Thousands fall for preventable fraud schemes every year, according to Masse, who added the number of fraud cases is increasing.

The member of parliament plans to launch his anti-fraud campaign across Canada by distributing the pamphlet door to door and offering video clips about common scams on his website.

“Fraud is estimated to be a nearly $150-million problem across Canada,” said Masse. “It is a problem that affects people in Canada of all ages and backgrounds.”
