Two Arrested After Attempted Fraud in Saint John, NB

A 53-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested for a connection with an attempted fraud in Saint John.

Although there is not much information given to the public at this time, Police say that two individuals tried to withdraw a large amount of money at a west side financial institution on Thursday morning.

Several hours later, officers responded to an uptown banking institution and arrested a man and a woman from another province.

The man and woman are facing charges of:

  • attempted fraud; and,
  • possession of another person’s identity without lawful excuse.

Both were due to appear in court on Friday, October 26th 2021.
