Tamika White accused of hacking company for profit

The RCMP has arrested and charged Tamika White for allegedly hacking into the email of a local company’s CEO and redirecting $52,000 into her own bank account.

The victim discovered the hack in November 2016 and filed a complaint with Digby, N.S. police.

Following a six-month investigation, police charged the a 30-year-old from Calgary for hacking into the email account.

White is facing 12 charges, including identity fraud, theft, trafficking stolen data and money laundering.
