St. John’s man facing 28 charges of tax fraud

A St. John’s man is facing an abundance of charges after allegedly creating and filing false T4 documents. Raymond Joseph Mahoney is charged with 28 tax fraud charges under the Income Tax Act along with three criminal charges.

The Canada Revenue Agency says the income tax filings resulted in false returns totalling just over $85,000.

Mahoney is also facing criminal charges of forgery, uttering forged documents and fraud.
