Sherwood Park man charged in million-dollar fraud investigation

March 10, 2021 – A Sherwood Park man is facing multiple charges in a million-dollar fraud investigation, and there may be further complainants, Edmonton police say. Between February 2016 and March 2019, police received reports on suspected fraudulent activity involving a 50-year-old man. In total, more than $1.7 million was reportedly defrauded over the three years, with individual losses ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars, police said in a news release.
