Feb. 28, 2021 (Quebec) – Sherbrooke are investigating a fraud ring whose members target the elderly by pretending to be employees of a financial institution or Canada Post to steal their victims’ credit and debit cards. Two files have been opened thus far by investigators. The scam involves one of the fraudsters telephoning the victim to inform them their credit and/or debit cards have been compromised.
