The Saskatoon Police Service is warning residents of a phone scam in which the caller claims the person being contacted has won a vehicle in a local fundraising lottery.
They haven’t, of course, but the caller will ask “quite convincingly” that a fee be paid to them upon delivery of said imaginary vehicle, according to SPS.
The service is asking anyone who is the victim of this or any type of fraud to file a report through the police service’s online reporting system.
