SARBC ‘extremely shocked’ over North Shore Rescue fundraising lawsuit

A representative from the Search and Rescue Society of British Columbia (SARBC) says he is “extremely shocked” the organization is being sued by North Shore Rescue over alleged misrepresentations in a phone fundraising scam.

In a lawsuit filed in the B.C. Supreme Court, North Shore Rescue alleges SARBC phone solicitors falsely claimed fundraising money would go to their organization. SARBC Vice President Glen Redden denies the claims.
