Peterborough man charged with fraud over $5,000

A 29-year-old Peterborough, Ont. man has been charged following a fraud investigation.

In June 2017, the female victim provided the accused with more than $7,000 to assist her in enrolling for postsecondary education.

After the accused failed to use funds per the designated use, and failed to return the money to the victim, people were contacted in late July and began their investigation.

Following the results of their investigation, Gaurav Paul was charged with fraud over $5,000.
