Ontario Provincial Police have taken the lead on the Next Level Investments fraud investigation from the Kingston Police Force because of its sheer size.
Sgt. Peter Leon of the OPP described a joint investigation with the Kingston Police Force. He described the investigation as “significant” and said, “when you have an investigation of this magnitude, it does fall under the major case protocol.”
Court records show that Chris Uitvlugt, who identifies on Facebook as the CEO of Next Level Capital Group, has been charged by police with fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and conspiracy.
