The OPP says a 28-year-old woman is facing fraud charges following an investigation into the credentials of a nurse working at a southern Ontario nursing home. Laura Erskine of the County of Brant is charged with fraud and making a forged document and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.

Not registered with the Ontario College of Nurses

It’s alleged the woman had been employed at Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home in Paris as a Registered Practical Nurse but that she was not registered with the Ontario College of Nurses. Police say the woman graduated from a nursing program at community college in 2014 but had not registered with the nurses’ governing body.
