Numerous charges for Chilliwack woman accused of theft, use of stolen credit cards

A 22-year-old woman from Rosedale faces at least eight criminal charges for thefts and illegal use of credit cards in connection with alleged incidents in the Vedder Crossing and Promontory areas late last year. Brianna Margaret Leanne Brown remains in custody and is next due in court Jan. 10.

Star witness against ex-Canada Post employee 

Brown is known to police and was in the news in June 2015 when she failed to show up in court as the star witness against ex-Canada Post employee Candace Waller who was charged with mail theft, possession of stolen property and fraud. Due to Brown’s non-appearance, the Crown had no evidence to back up the fraud charge, and Waller was acquitted.
