Men charged in $2-million COVID relief fraud posed for selfies with cash: Prosecutors

May 21, 2021 – A group of young men in Brooklyn are accused of stealing $2 milliion in COVID-19 relief funds, some even flaunting the cash on social media, U.S. prosecutors said on Tuesday.

According to court documents, eight men, ranging in age from 18 to 24, put in fraudulent unemployment insurance claims to the New York State Department of Labor between June 2020 and April 2021 using stolen personal information. Toronto Sun reports. | READ MORE
