Man charged with fraud after Cambridge Bay housing authority audit

Cambridge Bay RCMP have charged a former resident with fraud following an audit at the local housing authority. Police say they began an investigation in December 2015 after an audit at the Cambridge Bay Housing Association revealed a significant amount in unauthorized funds had been spent over several years. Jim Peckham, 51, formerly of Cambridge Bay, was charged with fraud on Oct. 25, 2016. Police say the investigation is ongoing. He is scheduled to appear in court in Cambridge Bay on Dec. 12.
