Loans officer charged with defrauding ATB of $250K

A Parkland County, Alta. woman has been charged with fraud after allegedly stealing more than $250,000 from her longtime employer, the Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB).

RCMP from Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Enoch started a fraud investigation in 2016 after the Treasury Branch reported irregularities in its banking activity.

Joyce Melody Gogeria has been charged with one count of fraud over $5,000.

The 61-year-old worked as a loans officer for ATB for 30 years.
