A Nova Scotia property, described on Kijiji as a “beautiful country spot” for rent, has now turned into a “complete nightmare” for multiple tenants who allege the were swindled out of thousands of dollars.

The ad to rent 471 Vault Rd. in Kingston, N.S., says the “5 Acre Horse Hobby Farm Century Home” is available for $1,250 a month.

A former tenant of the property described the property as a “nightmare.” She alleges the home was not as advertised, it only had three bedrooms, instead of four described in the ad, a broken pipe and messy living room.

The tenants were worried for the safety when men started showing up at their door demanding payment for rent not-yet due, the power was shut off, and repairs remained unfinished.
