A woman who was scammed $400 when trying to buy a ticket to Sunday’s curling championship game still got to attend the event thanks to Curling Canada.

Marion Wells paid $400 for four Tim Hortons Brier tickets to a woman her daughter met on Kijiji. The scammer in return never sent Wells her tickets and scammed other people hoping to attend the same event.

Wells’ daughter wrote to Curling Canada and told them what had happened, the organization got involved sent Wells one ticket to the game.
