Former director, Tracey L. Routsky, arrested in relation to Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps fraud investigation

A former director of the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (RCACC) has been arrested and charged with fraud. Last April, detectives with the Fraud Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), began an investigation into a fraud regarding the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (RCACC), located in the West Niagara Region.

The RCACC is a national Canadian youth program sponsored by the Canadian Armed Forces and the Civilian Army Cadet League of Canada that gives youth the opportunity to be involved in various outdoor activities, training and skill development.

The initial report was that funds, collected through charitable functions for the RCACC, were missing.  After the investigation, Niagara Police detectives determined the funds were being used for personal matters by the previous director. Tracey L. Routsky , 51, was arrested and charged on Jan. 21 with theft over $5,000. Routsky, who lives in Grimsby, Ont., was released on a Form 10 – Undertaking with a future court date.
