April 16, 2021 – Last week, a recovering drug addict who was once part of an illegal prescription drug ring started speaking out about the problem, which we’ve learned is only getting worse during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s pretty much thirty minutes of someone’s day to get all of these narcotics,” said the man who did not want to be identified, concerned about the backlash he might receive from those who are still taking part in the fraud.

He says he’s exposing this so others don’t get addicted like he did.

“I just want to be able to put it out there publicly to warn people,” he said.

He told City News blank prescription templates, that look like the real thing, are being sold online for anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500.

Once someone has the template, they can fill out the prescription in a way to make them look legitimate. City News reports. | READ MORE
