Espanola, Ont. woman arrested for credit card fraud

A 24-year-old woman from Espanola, Ont. has been charged with one count of fraud and one count of possession of property obtained by crime following a credit card theft.

Espanola police received a complaint that a mans wallet had been stolen from his home which resulted in his credit card being used 186 times in transactions totalling over $5,000.

The victim was in a short term care facility in Gore Bay, Ont. at the time of the incident.

When police confronted the woman, she confessed to her crimes and returned the victims wallet and credit card.
