Dozens of charges laid in Edmonton theft and fraud ring

Four people are now facing a total of 91 charges after an investigation into an Edmonton theft and fraud ring.

RCMP say they have uncovered a number of items stolen from different communities across the province.

Police were initially called to a hotel at the Edmonton International Airport in early August after a credit card fraud was reported.

Four people have been arrested in connection to the incident, and police have been able to recover property in Sylvan Lake, Stettler, Red Deer and Camrose.

Chance Muranaka, 44, is facing 70 counts of theft and property charges

Travis Muranaka, 40, faces 14 counts of theft, property and drug offences

Melissa Bowie, 27, is facing seven counts of possession of property

Travis and Chance Muranaka have been remanded in custody, scheduled to appear in court September 14.
