Darlene Wheeler, a landlord accused of running a rental scam in Gander, NL has pleaded guilty to a series of fraud charges.
The 48-year-old had pleaded guilty to six counts of fraud under $5,000 in relation to offences that occurred in Gander in 2014.
Tenants accused Wheeler of renting space in a home that she didn’t actually own, something she acknowledged doing in court.
Wheeler also pleaded guilty to two other counts of fraud, for passing bad cheques in Bishop’s Falls back in 2010.
