Cornwall, Ont. teen charged with fraud, animal cruelty

A 14-year-old Cornwall, Ont. teenager was arrested last week after making fraudulent purchases using his parent’s credit card.

The teenager allegedly made unauthorized online purchases from a Microsoft XBOX store on September 15. He was also seen assaulting the family pets on a video filmed using a cellphone.

The eastern Ontario teen was charged with fraud under $5,000 and cruelty to animals.

He was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

As per provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, his name is not being released.
