A 58-year-old Cape Breton, NS woman is scheduled for sentencing later this month after pleading guilty to defrauding her mother and her former landlord out of thousands of dollars.
Juanita Ann MacNeil plead guilty to charges of assault with a weapon, false pretence, theft and fraud.
MacNeil was charged with fraud after her former landlord reported to police that she had written cheques to herself on his account totalling over $1,500. She also stole more than $10,000 from her mother’s bank account using her mother’s stolen bank card.
