Regional police services across Canada have issued warnings about fraudulent investment schemes involving Bitcoin, an encrypted internet currency.

Durham Regional Police Services have released a statement about residents receiving solicitations about money-making pitches involving the digital currency. Bitcoin is also reportedly being used as part as an income tax scam targeting Durham residents.
