Two men who were caught in the act of removing a skimming device from an ATM in Tamarac have been arrested, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. Marc Chemali, 29, and Michelangelo Mongelli, 31, both from Canada, were taken into custody Tuesday and were each facing 66 fraud-related charges, according to the arrest report filed in the case. Security cameras recorded the pair repeatedly installing the debit and credit card reader on the cash machine at the Chase Bank at 6399 W. Commercial Blvd. and bank officials notified the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the report stated. Their first attempt at test-fitting the device on the ATM was Friday and they tried about seven times, but no customers used the ATM during this apparent trial run, investigators said.
