A retired RCMP officer is warning residents of Prince Edward Island to be wary of a phone scam offering millions after receiving a call congratulating him of a $3.5 million prize. Robert Campbell was told he had been selected from a pool of 500,000 seniors from the Canadian Cash Awards to win a draw he had never entered.

The Canadian Cash Awards ask for credit card or financial information to claim the prize and have complaints dating back to 2014.
