A Bay Roberts, NL businesswoman is facing multiple charges for allegedly taking money from Eastern Health, the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Health Laboratory where she once worked.
Real estate agent Debbie McGrath is charged with three counts of theft over $5,000 and several charges of fraud over $5,000. She is also alleged to have forged multiple financial documents.
The charges span a six-year period from 2006 to 2012.
McGrath worked at the N.L. Public Health Laboratory — which is inside the Miller Centre in St. John’s — in some capacity during that time, and as recently as 2011.
