Bradford woman defrauded $10K through online romance scam

A Bradford, Ont. woman lost more than $10,000 to an online romance scam.

The woman told South Simcoe police she met her online boyfriend through the dating site ‘Christian Mingle’. She reported they had corresponded multiple times via telephone and email in which he promised to come to Canada to visit her.

The man convinced the woman to send a bank transfer of $10,000, and later continued to ask for money.
