Barrie (September 12, 2019) – The Barrie Police is asking the public for help identifying two female suspects in an alleged credit card fraud. The two women received treatments and purchased skincare products at a Barrie business using a fake credit card number and false personal information. The investigation of the alleged fraud incident has been ongoing since mid-June.
The two female suspects attended a south end Barrie business. Both had cosmetic treatments and purchased skincare products in the store. Instead of using a credit card to pay for the services and goods, they provided a credit card number, which turned out to be fraudulent. The personal information they provided to the store was false as well. The investigation started mid-June and is still ongoing. Now, the police have published pictures of the two suspects, they received from the alleged victim, hoping to gather information from the public about the identity of the women.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Constable Mellish of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2634 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or leave an anonymous tip online at www.p3tips.com.
