B.C. court extends freeze on money from sale of properties allegedly tied to $200 million stock fraud

March 11, 2021 – A B.C. Supreme Court ruling has extended a freeze on assets the province wants forfeited in a money laundering case allegedly linked to a $200-million-plus international stock fraud. The B.C. Civil Forfeiture Office had requested the freeze be extended on more than $1.3 million, which is the proceeds of a court-approved sale of a house in Kelowna and a condominium in nearby Big White ski resort.
