A 20-year-old man from Ajax, Ont. has been arrested following a Kijiji hockey ticket fraud investigation.
It’s alleged that in March, a man purchased hockey tickets from a seller he found on Kijiji. An email money transfer was sent to biancal.dial45@outlook.com as payment for the tickets.
Believing the tickets were valid, the man attempted to attend the hockey game. When he arrived, he was informed that the tickets he purchased were fraudulent.
Makuizalandi Mbuku has been charged with possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, use of a forged document, and fraud under $5,000.
