May 6, 2021 – Quebec’s court of appeals has ruled in favour of two of three plaintiffs against a former Montreal police detective who specialized in organized crime.
Philippe Paul was suspended in 2014 while being investigated by the RCMP for allegedly having leaked information to someone outside the police force. He retired months after the suspension and has not been charged with any wrongdoing. Sources have said arguments over Paul were a source of division between some of the high-ranking officers in the Montreal force. Montreal Gazette reports. | READ MORE
