Almost 80 people say they’re victims of Facebook makeup scam

Waterloo Regional Police are in the early stages of investigating a Facebook group buying and selling makeup for discount prices.

The woman who runs the group, Lisa Ide, allegedly took thousands of dollars from members without sending them, or sending them only a portion, of their ordered products. The victims estimate that they’ve lost an estimated $37,506 to the scam.
