The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fraud after a 90-year-old Kingston woman came forward as the victim of a scam.

An OPP news releases says the woman was contacted late last month from a man claiming to be a bank manager. As instructed, the elderly woman withdrew cash from her bank and was then approached by a man on the street. Police say the woman then gave the money to the man.

The man is described as being approximately 50-years-old, six-feet-tall and of average build.
