25-year-old Sault Ste. Marie man arrested

Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. police services have arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to a theft and fraud in the city bordering the United States.

The accused man allegedly stole a wallet from a parked vehicle. He then allegedly used the stolen credit card and made two fraudulent purchases in the area.

Gheorghe Bratu is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of fraud and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He is scheduled to appear in court late September.
